My name is Frank J. Enriquez.  I was born at Edwards Air Force Base, while
my father served in the air force during the Korean conflict. In 1972 during
the Vietnam War I volunteered to serve our country as a member of the
United States Air Force when I was 18 years of age. I served as an enlisted
man and was stationed in Southeast Asia near Cambodia during the
Christmas Bombing of North Vietnam. I am proud I served my nation as a
soldier and am proud to say that I currently have a brother, Oscar, serving in
Iraq.

I have lived in the Rio Grande Valley for almost 30 years.  I am well known
here, and I have served on several boards including the McAllen Economic
Development Corporation and the Trade Zone Committee. My parents are
from Laredo. My grandparents are from Laredo. I have literally over a
hundred aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, and friends in Laredo. I
spent my early years in Laredo growing up in the Colonia Guadalupe. I am
also a descendant of Don Tomas Sanchez de la Barrera, founder of
Laredo.

When I was 5 years of age my father was stationed in San Antonio. I spent
my formative years in San Antonio, attending St. Joseph Catholic School,
Holy Cross High School and, ultimately, St. Mary’s University School of Law.
In addition to my Rio Grande Valley Practice I also have an active Law
Office in San Antonio, at the corner of Santa Rosa and Dolorosa across
from Market Square, and I commute from the Valley to San Antonio weekly.
